Childcare First Aid

Being able to respond to a first aid situation in a child care setting is an occupational requirement for most people working in this sector. This nationally recognised course covers first aid for children and infants, including CPR and the use of an AED.

Young Medical School provides you with emergency action plans for asthma, anaphylaxis and epilepsy, which will keep you prepared in the event of these types of emergencies.

The course is class room based, and includes pre-course reading and on the day assessment with a qualified trainer. It is a comprehensive course that teaches you the fundamentals of CPR, the DRSABCD first aid strategy and how to use an automatic defibrillator.

Suitable for both novices and those who haven’t had first aid qualifications in years.

Learn how to administer first aid to infants and children, with this class room based course. You’ll receive a certificate of completion that is nationally accredited.

This course is ideal for families, mothers groups and friends who want to learn baby and child first aid. You’ll be able to perform CPR, use an AED and implement emergency action plans for baby illnesses such as fever, pain, diarrhoea and vomiting.

You’ll also learn how to administer first aid for children who have breathing problems, such as asthma, or have epilepsy.

Using an EPI-pen and an AED is also taught, so that you can apply these vital first aid tools quickly, safely and effectively.

The course is delivered via a combination of eLearning and practical hands-on training in Belmont. The eLearning component consists of a multiple-choice quiz that you can complete at your own pace, before stepping into the classroom for practical assessment with your trainer.

Our experienced trainers are highly knowledgeable and bring real world insights to the class, making it an entertaining and engaging learning experience!

Young Medical School offer an affordable private first aid course for those who prefer to learn first aid at a location that’s convenient for them. You can choose your preferred date and location, and we’ll organise everything for you, at your own home or place of work.
